Hi Domenico,

Let's troubleshoot the custom track submission first (track attribute
url should be working). Perhaps the format needs to be adjusted.

For reference:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTracksHelp.html#TRACK

"url=<external_url> - Defines a URL for an external link associated with
this track. This URL will be used in the details page for the track. Any
'$$' in this string this will be substituted with the item name. There
is no default for this attribute."

Would you be able to send me the complete browser/track lines plus a few
lines of BED data? Please note the assembly and any other settings you
entered into the Custom track submission form.

Also, if the track is already loaded complete, if you would save it into
a Session, then send me a link (from inside the Session tool).

I will compare what you have loaded with what I am able to load
independently and provide feedback.

Session tool FAQ, in case you don't already use it (good idea!):
http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTracksHelp.html#Sessions

You can send directly to me. I am assuming from your question and link
example that you are using the main UCSC browser at
http://genome.ucsc.edu. Please correct me if this is not true.

Thanks,
Jennifer
