Hello,

The file chromInfo.txt.gz on the downloads server contains this
information.

Format:
    chrom
    size
    fileName

Use ftp or rsync to this directory of files:
http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg18/database/

Please note that if you are creating files to compare to (most) UCSC
files, that a "zero-based, half open" coordinate system should be used.
This is explained in detail on this wiki help page:
http://genomewiki.ucsc.edu/index.php/Coordinate_Transforms

I hope this information is helpful. If you need more help with
coordinates or any other Browser topic, please feel free to contact the
help mailing list again.

Warm regards,
Jen
