UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group Dear Drs, Now, I work for the Laboratory of Racing Chemistry in Japan, and I study the horse genomics, specially, to confirm promoter sites of each gene (mRNA) and to investigate their expression levels using the method of CAGE. Now, I constructed and sequences cDNAs from the CAGE libraries of horse liver, muscle and white blood. Then, I would like to map those to the horse genome map. In that cases, I consider to use your data and browser for horses in UCSC, such as mouse.(See the following www-site. http://fantom31p.gsc.riken.jp/cage_analysis/mm5/) I can see the horse genome browser and data from your database, but, unfortunately the data is still Ecub1.0. If possible, I would ask your team to upload the data using the Ecub2.0 and the current annotation data provided by the ENSAMBLE (over ver. 50), whose genome assembly was also uploaded from the original Ecub2.0 by BROAD institute. I think your database is much better for us to use. Would you mind uploading the genome assembly and their annotation information for horses by using the current ENSAMBLE or new someone as soon as possible. Or, Would you mind telling me when the horse information will be uploaded. I wish I get the responses from your team. Thank you very much for your many help in advance.
