Sonja,

The hg19 --> hg18 liftOvers are being produced and will be
released in the near future.  You should see the 
functionality
first appear on our test browser:

  http://genome-test.cse.ucsc.edu

you will want to check some conversions carefully if using 
the test
site, as it will not have been through our QA process 
until it is
released on the public site.

The annotations on the hg18 browser took many years to 
produce and
we are running our clusters (and staff!) full time to 
replicate all
the information for hg19.  There is no way to predict how 
long it will
take to fully populate hg19, but it is a top priority for 
our team.
We release the data track by track as they are produced. 
 The
comparative genomics are the top of the list.  Thanks for 
your
interest in the new human assembly.
