Hi,
I'm trying to download hg18 annotation database and here is the
downloading instructions specified in the link
http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg18/database/
To download a large file or multiple files from this directory, we recommend
that you use ftp rather than downloading the files via our website. To do so:
ftp hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu
user name: anonymous
password: <your email address>
go to the directory goldenPath/hg18/database
I used my name as user_name and my gmail_id as password. And when I
give the following command it says error 530...
ftp> cd goldenPath/hg18/database
530 Please login with USER and PASS
Please let me know what username and password I should use?
