Hi,

Searching for the gene MDC1 from the home page of the human genome hg19-
resulted in the genome location on chr6_cox_hap2.
Is it possible to search for the gene on chr6? I looked up the gene location
at the NCBI, and put those coordinates into the UCSC browser and found the
gene, MDC1, in the same location as the NCBI on chromosome 6. How is it
possible to find it on chromosome 6searching with the gene name at the UCSC
and not on the alternative haplotype of chromosome 6?

Much Thanks,
Tirza Doniger
