Hi Nicholas, You can make this conversion using the ensemblLift table. This is a small table, so you may view it in our Table Browser: http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTables. Set group = All Tables and table = ensemblLift. For the region you mention, subtract 28696603 from the coordinates then +1 to get the 1-based offset in UCSC coordinates, for more info see: http://genome.ucsc.edu/FAQ/FAQtracks.html#tracks1.
Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Luvina Guruvadoo UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group On 10/30/2011 11:18 AM, Nicholas Price wrote: > Hi > > I am trying to fetch the human dna sequence corresponding to the > region HSCHR6_MHC_MCF 28994645-28995533 in the Major histocompatility > complex using genome browser. > These are ensembl coordinates that are not recognized by the genome > browser.
