Hello, Erik. Are you referring to a sacCer2 to sacCer3 liftOver file or a sacCer3 to sacCer2 liftOver file? We do have a sacCer2 to sacCer3 liftOver file located at http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/sacCer2/liftOver/. We also just released a sacCer3 to sacCer2 liftOver file which is now located at http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/sacCer3/liftOver/.
Please take a moment to look at this entry on our FAQ page: http://genome.ucsc.edu/FAQ/FAQdownloads.html#download28. Also, you may find this previously answered mailing list question useful: https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/pipermail/genome/2010-January/020985.html. It documents steps to create your own custom liftOver files. Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Steve Heitner UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Erik F. Dear UCSC friends, Is there an available over.chain file available for the Apr. 2011 sacCer3 assembly? If so, may you post it or send it to me? Thanks! I have a draft assembly for a different strain for which I would like to liftOver annotations from the reference.... Best, e --- Erik F. Y.
