Hi there,

Currently, when we access a specific genomic region (e.g. chr1:50000-50500)
from a previously stored session, we have to click a link like
http://myownserver/cgi-bin/hgSession?hgS_doLoadUrl=submit&hgS_loadUrlName=http://myownserver/customTracks/mystored.session
, then click "Genome Browser" link, which directs the browser to a URL like:
http://myownserver/cgi-bin/hgTracks?hgTracksConfigPage=notSet?org=Human&db=hg18&hgsid=2289

I wonder if it's possible to use a direct URL like below (or something similar)
to access a specific region to load the stored session in the background.
http://myownserver/cgi-bin/hgTracks?hgTracksConfigPage=notSet?org=Human&db=hg18&hgsid=2289&hgS_loadUrlName=http://myownserver/customTracks/mystored.session&chrom=chr1&start=50000&end=50500

It might be slow, but the functionality would significantly improve the usage
of genome browser.

Thank you!

Gang
