Hello, Yuval.

You can obtain the information you're looking for with our Table Browser.
If you're unfamiliar with the Table Browser, please see the User's Guide at
http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTablesHelp.html.

To obtain genome size, go to the Table Browser at
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTables?command=start, select the genome
you're interested in by setting the clade, genome and assembly drop-down
lists and then click the "summary/statistics" button.

I would also like to direct you to our wiki page at
http://genomewiki.ucsc.edu/index.php/Gene_Set_Summary_Statistics which lists
statistics similar to what you're describing. You can compile these
statistics for any genome of your choice by following the instructions in
the Methods section of that same page
(http://genomewiki.ucsc.edu/index.php/Gene_Set_Summary_Statistics#Methods).

Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further
questions.

Subject: [Genome] number of introns in set of organisms

Hi,
I would like to know how do I find the total number of introns/Exons and
their total length in an organism (or several organisms).
It also would be nice to get the genomic size of an organism.

Thanks alot
Yuval
