Hello, Sohini, We do not have a graphical schema for the database, which is huge. For hg19 alone, there are currently > 7600 tables.
Here are two previously answered questions on the mailing list that discuss the database schema. https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/pipermail/genome/2011-May/026021.html https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/pipermail/genome/2008-December/017787.html The second of these does give a link to a graphical view of some of the tables, though it is now three years old and some changes have occurred. In addition, you can see the relationship of any given table to all other related tables using the Table Browser. For example, if you accept the default table, knownGene, from the UCSC Genes track in hg19 (referred to in the second link above), and hit the button, show table schema, you can see all tables related to knownGene and the fields that intersect. best regards, --b0b kuhn ucsc genome bioinformatics group On 4/12/2012 7:53 AM, sohini wrote: > Hello, > I would like to know if it is possible to get a visible graph of > database > designing or relation among tables? > > Please reply soon. > > > Sohini Chakraborty > CSIR-Junior Research Fellow > CoE in Bioinformatics > Bose Institute > DST, Govt. of India > > -- > Open WebMail Project (http://openwebmail.org) > _______________________________________________ > Genome maillist - [email protected] > https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome
