Hello, Jun.

You are correct about the date of the sno/miRNA information. If there is
ever any doubt about the date of the data in question, look at the
appropriate track description page. You can see the sno/miRNA page at
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=hg19&g=wgRna. Near the top of
the page, you will notice "Data last updated" shows 20-Sep-2010. Every track
description page has such an entry.

There is a track titled RNA Genes in hg18
(http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=hg18&g=rnaGene) that contains
rRNA information, but there is no equivalent track for hg19.

Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further
questions.

Subject: [Genome] sno/miRNA track data updates and rRNA (ribosomal RNA)
track

Hi, Luvina:
thanks a lot for your quick response.
I have two further questions.

First, the wgRna.txt.gz in hg19 has a time stamp of Oct 03, 2010, so does
that mean that the newest database information for miRNAs from miRBase is
not in the file (there have been multiple new versions of miRBase after Oct
2010)? Is there any updates on this track in genome browser that I can get?

Second, is there a place I can find a ribosomal RNA track?

Thanks much,
Jun
