Hello, Peng. To create a permanent link to a description page, you can simply strip out the hgsid and chromosome attributes from the URL and add in the database name. The link to the hg19 Common SNPs(135) description page is http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=hg19&g=snp135Common.

Hi, I want to keep a URL to a track description page for example the following one. "Simple Nucleotide Polymorphisms (dbSNP 135) Found in >= 1% of Samples" "Description This track contains information about a subset of the single nucleotide polymorphisms and small insertions and deletions (indels) - collectively Simple Nucleotide Polymorphisms - from dbSNP build 135, available from ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/snp. Only SNPs that have a minor allele frequency of at least 1% and are mapped to a single location in the reference genome assembly are included in this subset. Frequency data are not available for all SNPs, so this subset is incomplete. ..." I know the url can not be used in the future as it has hgsid. Does anybody know how to get a permanent URL to the description page? Thanks! http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?hgsid=264347331&c=chr12&g=snp135Com mon -- Regards, Peng _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome
