Hello, Hui. This was the result of a bug in the Table Browser. Thank you for identifying this. Our developers have fixed the bug and the fix will go out to the public site this upcoming Tuesday afternoon (03-July-2012) as part of our normal release cycle.
In the meantime, you can use the Table Browser on our preview server (http://genome-preview.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTables) to perform your queries. The bug fix should be applied to the preview server within the next 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Steve Heitner UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group -----Original Message----- From: Jia, Hui [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 4:21 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Genome] question for downloading bed format data from table browser Dear Steve, Thank you for your reply. What I used is http://genome.ucsc.edu, not at a mirror site. The problem is still there after I reset my cart. The gene list is attached. I have been using the Table Browser today with no problems. I just attempted to recreate your problem by creating an input file with some RefSeq IDs and was able to successfully view the output. Can you verify that you are using the Table Browser at http://genome.ucsc.edu and not at a mirror site? If it is indeed our site, you should first attempt to reset your cart by clicking the "click here" link just below the "get output" button in the Table Browser. If resetting your cart does not fix the problem, please send me one of your input files so I can attempt to recreate the problem. Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Steve Heitner UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jia, Hui Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 12:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Genome] question for downloading bed format data from table browser Dear Sir/Madam, I have a question about downloading data from table browser. I have a list with ESTs, Refseq genes, and mRNAs and I want to get bed format for those genes. Usually I upload the list and download bed format data three times by choose different tables: refgene, all_mRNA and all_EST. It works. But today, after I uploaded list, the table browser displayed as Q_fig1.jpg I attached, and after I click "OK", it displayed Q-fig2.jpg and can not go back to table browser. Could you help me why this happened and How can I download bed format data?
