Just to make this clear. When do you do this? Zac explained what happens if you do this in a directory with an existing Manifest. However, if you eupdate/ecopy an ebuild, the Manifest isn't copied. Hence all distfiles will have to be downloaded indeed. If you indeed face this problem after you imported a package yourself, then it may be a good idea to change the scripts to also copy the Manifest file, such that this downloading of all distfiles can be (hopefully) avoided. -- Fabian Groffen Gentoo on a different level -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
