In fact you are right, most recent PCI cards have the two slots, so they
can fit in both 3.3V and 5V slots (so do PCI-X cards).

Unfortunatly, some don't, so just make sure it will fit.
I don't really know the proportion of cards that are ok, I only know that
I've had troubles because of a card that wouldn't go in a PCI-X connector.

I think that the only way to be sure is to really look you connectors/cards.

By the way, if someone had a really complete quide of compatibility
between PCI, PCI66, PCIX I'd take it.
