Hi,
Sorry to be flooding this list lately. Please excuse me as I work
on multiple fronts here. For now this thread has nothing to do with
the chroot problems, although the problem does appear in the chrooted
environment also.

OK, I have multiple machines here. All are Gentoo. One is the
AMD64. My wife and I are working on our investment class work and I've
run across an issue on my 64-bit machine. There is one section on the
(password protected) web site we are using that uses java in an
interactive stock chart. One option in the chart program requires
access to a pulldown menu. Basically there is an old style sort of
square button that you hit and then you get choices that the program
can give you in the display. This works on my wife's 32-bit machine
but it does not work on my 64-bit machine. (So far!)

For the best comparison I'm using Firefox and blackdown-jdk on both
machines. Here are the emerges for both. Dragonfly is 32-bit,
Lightning is 64-bit. Both machines are running Firefox, not
firefox-bin. As best I can tell I've emerged bith identically, or as
much as possible:

dragonfly ~ # emerge -pv blackdown-jdk mozilla-firefox xorg-x11

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Lightning (AMD64) gives me no pulldown in the java stock chart,
while Dragonfly does, so at least we have the ablity to do the
charting somewhere.

   Can anyone suggest:

1) What I need to do to get this working?

or

2) What to look at before I file a bug report?

If more info is needed I'll supply it ASAP.

Thanks in advance,
Mark
