While it doesn't quite do all you've asked for - [MN] app-shells/bashish (1.9.23): Text console theme engine with a home page at - http://bashish.sourceforge.net/ Just don't ever use it in the root account, it can cause an interesting loop that cannot be broken out of at the console level.
