Hello,

This post is not specially amd64 specific but as some last post where also on
the i810 subject, i hope you could help me.

I own a gigabyte motherboard ( G33-DS3 ) with intel G33 chipset and i 'm
unable to made drm working. The problem is (as far as i have understood it)
that due to having 4G ram my mtrr is full so X11 can't succeed in adding a
new entry to made it write-combining.

Here's the mtrr on my board :

teg00: base=0x100000000 (4096MB), size=1024MB: write-back, count=1
reg01: base=0x130000000 (4864MB), size= 256MB: uncachable, count=1
reg02: base=0xc0000000 (3072MB), size= 256MB: write-back, count=1
reg03: base=0xcf800000 (3320MB), size= 8MB: uncachable, count=1
reg04: base=0xcf700000 (3319MB), size= 1MB: uncachable, count=1
reg05: base=0x80000000 (2048MB), size=1024MB: write-back, count=1
reg06: base=0x00000000 ( 0MB), size=2048MB: write-back, count=1
reg07: base=0xcf600000 (3318MB), size= 1MB: write-through, count=1

The 8MB and 1MB should be stolen ram for the video card and the write-back 256
MB is certainly my "AGP" aperture.

And here's what Xorg log :

If anyone have an idea of how i could enable drm, i will be very glad to hear
from him.

Thanks a lot and sorry if this post is not truly adequate to this mailing
list.
