No, the managers will be voting, and in relative privacy. However all 
people have the opportunity to nominate others. If you are nominated 
that means you are taken into consideration. We also want arguments on 
why this person should be nominated in your view.

After all people have been nominated (managers can nominate too) I will 
post a list of all nominees. I will however not post all reasons why 
they should be nominated, or how many people nominated them. They 
everyone has a chance to tell the management team why certain people 
should not be chosen as desktop lead.

After that the management team will discuss the nominees and vote who we 
prefer, and, if we think that person is qualified (so it could 
theoretically be that no-one is elected). Here I assume that the 
management team can manage itself well enough such as not making the 
vote a popularity contest, but that actual qualifications are taken into 
account.
