PONIES!!!" spirit can't be credited, this GLEP has been triggered by the April Fool's joke of Slashdot [1]_. Most of the support comes from #gentoo-userrel [2]_. Abstract ======== We propose change the boring white and blue color theme of the Gentoo Bugzilla [3]_ by a lively pink, with ponies pictures and mentions of "OMG!!! PONIES!!!" added in some judicious places. Motivation ========== In those dark times for Gentoo, it is very important to cheer everyone up and try to lighten the mood. Plus the old color theme is becoming quite annoying after some time. For developers who can spend hours each day on the bugzilla, this would certainly be a great delight. We can also expect a big raise in popularity and coolness in the FOSS world, and possibly new users brought by this unique feature. Rationale ========= The background should be a in a very light pink while the text, previously black, would be in a bright pink. The title background would change from blue to a deep pink. Additionally, each comment would have a little pony friend attached on the right. This would certainly bring more peaceful answers, who would dare to flame in front of such a cute animal? To respect the pink spirit, we must add "OMG!!! PONIES!!!" lines as much as possible. A first proposition would be to add them to every multiple choice form (and frankly, wouldn't you be thrilled at the idea of adding the "OMG!!! Ponies!!!" Arch Team to Cc?). A preliminary version can be found at [4]_. Backwards Compatibility ======================= Backwards Compatibility wouldn't be necessary here, as we fail to imagine how one would want to change back from this joyful pink theme to the dull blue that is, unfortunately, still the rule.
