Regardless of how we might want to get rid of m-n packages, I do
wonder about who commits them, and why. For example, while looking
into the list of m-n packages, I also found
dev-python/remoteobjects-99999999, which was also entered into the
tree by vapier as m-n.

vapier, what's the rationale behind including these packages in the
tree? And if you need them, why can't you maintain them?

(I'm asking this as a member of the Python project, where we probably
wouldn't mind picking up some python m-n packages.)
