The modified eclass is currently available in the KDE overlay. There is one package [2] remaining in-tree which has EAPI<2 which will be handled soon, but please update any overlay packages using the eclass. I have also added a deprecation warning to the in-tree cmake-utils.eclass for packages using EAPI 0/1.
