Yes, the 2.1 version (currently in ~x86) is not compatible with the 2.0
squashfs included in current Gentoo kernels. You should use the 2.0
squashfs-tools...

Not sure there is such option in mksquashfs... Anyway, having extra
parameters passed to mksquashfs depends on catalyst code so if you
identify what would be precisely needed to have squashfs-tools
independant of kernel squashfs patch version, better file a bug in
Catalyst, since this is not a problem specific to GNAP.
