I am looking to build a new Opteron server soon, and I want to look at securing it with SELinux (and 64bit only).
Most importantly what profile do I use?
profiles/hardened/amd64/ or profiles/selinux/2005.1/amd64/ ?
Just for the record, no one should be using a 2005.1 SELinux profile, especially not AMD64 users. Unfortunately AMD64 users that are on the 2005.0 default-linux profile are out of luck for SELinux support. I added the 2005.1 profile to bring the SELinux AMD64 profile up to date with the 2005.0 default-linux AMD64 profile changes, but it has had 0 testing so far. It also requires packages that are currently ~arch versions of udev, baselayout, and sysvinit.
