Yeah, I've thought of that one too, but i don't really like it. If the user has to keep his /etc/portage/profile in sync with my profile, that means he has no possibility to add his own modification. That's basically depriving him from one of the configuration feature of Portage. Also, that means I will have no control over the parent profile and that it will be user's responsability to manually switch from 2004.3 to 2005.0 when I say so, etc. I would really prefer a solution that would give this profile the same place as any other standard profile. -- TGL. -- [email protected] mailing list
