Actually, I'd find it useful personally.
People add *weird* use flags sometimes.

Lack of feedback is partially the fact I'd rather see it as a class 
based approach; can tag it into the rewrite whenever UI work gets in 
full gear, but adding new features into stable that will have to be 
reimplemented in the rewrite doesn't seem wise (hence the feature 
freeze declaration).
