I recently got a lodger who wish to share my modem ISP connection. Since I pay per minute I wish to do the following:
a) Have my Gentoo box act as a gateway to the net for his Windows box. (This I can handle myself, I guess). b) Track our usage, so that we can pay a fair amount of the bill. Maybe have him use PPP-over-ethernet, then subtract his connection time from mine. (I don't pay any startup fee for each connection, which should simplify things).
