For the last weeks I can emerge everything but avifile. Always stops at the same point, these below are the last lines.

(no error message) complete install log is available at http://spazioinwind.libero.it/mjollnir/typescript (about 150KB, "colorized" text) Everyday I use the command: #emerge rsync; emerge -u portage; emerge -Up --deep world so portage tree is daily renewn. I don't remember exactly when the problem started showing up, but in the meantime I've succesfully emerged/updated Oo, kde, qt, mplayer for example; and yes, also reemerged arts! Deleting avifile from /usr/tmp/portage and /usr/portage/distfiles and reemerging again avifile, leds to the very same stop point. Avifile version currently installed: 0.7.15.20020816-r1. Other version of avifile manually emerged exhibit more or less same error. I have alsa & oss in USE flags, currently using a Yamaha sound card from the old pc (oss support with its kernel module), plannig to switch to onboard sound card and alsa in next future. Again, everything else is working fine, what I have to do? Any hint is very appreciated. Thanks.
