I have a PCtel modem and I am trying to get the PCtel modem driver to work. I am not having much success. I get the following for pctel-0.9.6
/tmp/pctel-0.9.6 0 $ insmod pctel Using /lib/modules/2.4.20/misc/pctel.o /lib/modules/2.4.20/misc/pctel.o: The module you are trying to load (/lib/modules/2.4.20/misc/pctel.o) is compiled with a gcc version 2 compiler, while the kernel you are running is compiled with a gcc version 3 compiler. This is known to not work. I am using gcc version: gcc version 3.2.2 20030322 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.2-r2) Has anyone gotten a PCtel modem to work in Gentoo?
