Or you could just keep outlook Express uptodate.

BugBear exploits an old (fixed) bug in OE that causes it to run IFRAME 
executables.


Will Gentoo be able to help you?

Yes, if you were using it as your mail server with something like 
MailScanner or McAfee Virus Scanner running with Sendmail/exim/etc
