For a certain video card/monitor combo that I use under linux on a regular basis, I need to modify the source code for XFree86. Under Redhat, I used to simply install the SRPM and then modify it and create my own custom binary RPM.
With gentoo, what is the easiest way to deal with this with the portage system??
