for those who cared, the solution was simpler than i could have thought (that makes 2 in one month -- i have to stop this). all i had to do was open outlook express on the source machine, import the outlook mail into there, close outlook express and copy the .dbx files to the linux box which using kmails import/converter, i imported the mail without issue. after some folder reorganising (the importer doesn't retain the folder structure) i was good to go. -- freedom is fragile and must be protected. to sacrifice it, even as a temporary measure, is to betray it. - germaine greer -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
