Nice tip, this "gcc-config" utility. Where does it come from? The man page doesn't give any pointers ...
emerge gcc-config
Would you happen to know how to instruct via "make.conf" or so, that GCJ -- native java -- must be built too..
Add 'java' to your use flags and do 'ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86 emerge -vp =gcc-3.3' to check that the use flag is being enabled.
