[gentoo-user] Disapearing Processes

Hi, i am using gentoo for some servers mainly for running HLDS_L servers   the boxes are dual xeon 2.4s (HT enbabled) and 1 gb ram   i have compiled the 2.6.0 test kernel and everything sems to be fine (i compiled with 1000hz)   but everynow and again 1 of the servers i have setup just disappears,   the servers are run using screen and detached and elft running. but its almost like they go to sleep because they disappear, i go back in go into the screen and type something and low-and-behold it comes back..   you guys have any ideas?   is there a way o force a process so it never sleeps or something?   Yours hopefully   matt gossage
