dvd::rip is really just a frontend for transcode. Just because the frontend
seems weak, doesn't mean the actual encoder is weak too. Trying running
transcode from the command line, it can do some cool stuff, ie. anti-alias
every frame, 4x the number of encodable codecs than mencoder, and more
flexibility. This all comes at the cost of being very complex to use. Trying
following the examples on their webpage:
