I don`t have any problem with wvdial, Here is my wvdial.conf

[Dialer Defaults]
Modem = /dev/ttyS0
Baud = 115200
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATMQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Phone = 8-7700101111
Username = bubububu
Password = bubububu
Dial Command = ATDP

[Dialer phone2]
Phone = 8-7700102111
