Did you ever change the values on your /etc/fstab? The default has three entries /dev/ROOT /dev/SWAP /dev/BOOT. They are there so you know why they are supposed to point to. You need to point them to actual partitions. So mine has instead of /dev/ROOT, /dev/hda1. -- Christopher
