Hey All,
I'm trying to install a very minimal Gentoo on a soon to be 486 router.
Call me clueless but... In the steps to install from a floppy at Gentoo.org (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=8690) it says... don't use Tom's Root Boot anymore.. it's too old. Okay. But I cannot for the life of me find another that works that has a newer kernel than 2.2.something (which are close enough to the 2.2.20 on Tom's disk)
Can anyone recommend a good floppy based linux/boot disk of an appropriate kernel version that will support the D-Link DE220 NIC I'm using?
Is there any reason you can't use Tom's Root Boot with a custom kernel?
