Thanks guys :) You didn't directly solve it but you shoved me in the right direction. I had reemerged sendmail to reset some conf files and dir permissions and I had not run m4 on the edits to the cf. Oh well. One last question: Where is the submit.mc? Isee the .cf for it in /etc/mail but no .mc. i found one here : /usr/share/sendmail-cf/cf/submit.mc but it doesn't appear to match the one installed in /etc/mail. -- Owen Ford <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
