Can anyone help me decide if I need to install linux-wlan-ng? I am using sys-kernel/ac-sources and it seems to have drivers for my laptop's builtin wireless card:
orinoco_pci 3364 0 (unused) orinoco 36012 0 [orinoco_pci] hermes 6340 0 [orinoco_pci orinoco] do the linux-wlan-ng drivers do something that the default drivers don't? do you have to do anything other than re-emerge linux-wlan-ng after you rebuild the kernel? Any comments or pointers appreciated, I've never messed with wireless before. At this point I'm still trying to figure out the difference between all the WAP models out there. -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
