Here is the setup that I have: Desktop: Athlon 1700 XP Server: 400 MHz Celeron Firewall: Pentium 200MMX
The main reason that I set up distcc is to try to speed the compilation on the Firewall box. I also have the Server use the Desktop to help its compile speed. What I was wondering was: would there be any gain, or loss, by having the Desktop send requests through to either of the other machines?
