Ok I recently posted about the kdemultimedia pkg. Untill the last two
weeks i have not done a emerge sync because of all the changes. So i
finally decided to do a emerge sync and see how many will pop up. it
was 38 pkgs. Now i read most the posts that were close to the errors
that i have had. now i am down to 8 from 38. I tried to do the
following
emerge -Up world && emerge -U world

Calculating world dependencies ...done!
[ebuild     U ] kde-base/kdeadmin-3.1.4 [3.1.3]
[ebuild  N    ] kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.1.4-r1
[ebuild     U ] kde-base/kdeaddons-3.1.4 [3.1.3]
[ebuild     U ] sys-apps/coreutils-5.0.91 [5.0-r4]
[ebuild     U ] sys-apps/findutils-4.1.20 [4.1.7-r4]
[ebuild     U ] net-www/galeon-1.3.9 [1.2.11]
[ebuild     U ] sys-devel/gcc-3.3.1-r4 [3.3.1-r3]
[ebuild     U ] media-video/mplayer-1.0_pre1-r1 [1.0_pre1]

>>> --upgradeonly implies --update... adding --update to options.
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 8) kde-base/kdeadmin-3.1.4 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) kdeadmin-3.1.4.tar.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking kdeadmin-3.1.4.tar.bz2 to
/var/tmp/portage/kdeadmin-3.1.4/work

So in the short if i try to emerge manually kdemultimedia it errors
out. along with letting world emerge by itself. so i even noticed
that it wants to go back to gcc-3.3.1-r3 from what i got it up to r4.

Arrrggggg
