here is what i have tried and what has happen so far.
i emerge sync so i have the most up todate pkg info.
i have a dial-up so i use emerge -Uf kde
now it throws me the files

U kdeartwork 3.1.4
so i emerge them with emerge -U kde
this lets kde go in no errors
then kdemultimedia craps out

Now i had an hardware issue with a my tv-card with is not in the system
right now. that is why i have xawtv
But why is it not compiling due to xawtv. which seems to be the last
part that causes it to crash. on compiling of kdemultimedia.
Now i have manually compiled the others kdeaddons and kdeartwork. that
leaves kdemultimedia.
any thought on how to force it or do i need to remove xawtv?
