I had no fonts installed in KDE. After adding some hundred type1 and ttf fonts with KDE's System Administration->Font Installer and a few crashes later, at least kvim starts with a readable font. There are still some fixed width fonts in konsole's custom font menu with these ugly gaps between two letters, but as long as I don't use them I don't care. regards martin -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
