Since you know how to do it you could always make an ebuild and submit it to 
bugzilla so everyone can use it ;-). Its not that hard and developers may 
attempt to fix your submission up if ts a bit off. The docs of www.gentoo.org 
and the numberous examples is portage are a great reference. Join the 
community and contribute!
