Hi,

sorry if this is a FAQ, but I could't find the answer in the documentation:

How can I determine the ebuild a file belongs to?
(In Debian for example this is done with "dpgk -S /path/to/some/file")
For example "somecommand /usr/bin/ftp" should answer "net-ftp/ftp" ...

And another question: Is there a way to check consistency/completeness of
all installed ebuilds on the system? I guess not, because everything is
compiled and so has different checksums. (The reason is that the machine crashed
while installing an ebuild and I have some strange effects now concerning some
GTK libs. I don't know if the build went wrong or it's a bug of the specific
lib-version)

Thanks so far!

Cheers,
Felix
