Actually, I was thinking the reverse. If your compiling across 20 486s for 
example ;~)

I had a similar conversation with my school mates around 10 years ago. I 
couldn't convince my mate that a dblspaced drive could be faster than 
uncompressed. Even when I told him to imagine a DX2-66 accessing a compressed 
floppy disk, he still couldn't fathom the concept. Anyway, your smarter than 
my (ex-)friend.
