I can't get a euro sing to work into oowriter. It works in gEdit and
Insert a special character (somewhere left above is a button for it). The euro sign is not in all fonts, so change the font when neccesary.
The Euro sign is defined in iso-8895-15, which extends the old iso8859-1. Check if oowriter can be configured.
