This isn't possible. Slocate has privs in mind when you use locate.

Do you think you could possibly clarify, please..? Why do privileges prevent wildcarding of pruned directories..? Since slocate presently reads & stores the full path of each file, what's to prevent it from discarding files that match "/path/to/*/.Maildir/*"..?
